Canberra United can today announce Drake International as the front of shirt sponsors for Canberra United’s Foxtel Y-League squad and back of shorts sponsors for Canberra United’s Westfield W-League side.

Since inception in 1951, Drake is a leading national recruitment and HR solutions provider, with dedicated branches in every state and territory. Drake’s Canberra Branch Manager Nicole Hermansen said becoming commercial partners with Canberra United was the perfect fit.

“We know, as a major global company of more than 60 years, we have a responsibility towards the betterment of the communities that we live and work within,” Ms Hermansen said.

“That is why we are proud of our new commercial partnership with both the W-League and Youth League in Canberra.

“The W-League sponsorship is a direct reflection of Drake’s values of inclusion and diversity so we are thrilled to be part of the W-League as one of their first key sponsors to the women’s team”

With Drake being a strong advocate for local talent development, Ms Hermansen said the partnership with Canberra United’s youth side was also in perfect alignment with Drake’s values.

“This is a great opportunity to support Canberra’s up and coming talent,” she said. “We wish both teams the very best in the season ahead and look forward to sharing Canberra’ United’s success with the broader community.”

Capital Football’s Head of Commercial Megan Salic was thrilled with the sponsorship.

“Capital Football prides itself on connecting with businesses and individuals within the Canberra community, so we’re especially excited to have the opportunity to partner with Drake,” she said.

“As well as sponsoring Canberra United, Drake will assist us both on and off the field with volunteers for our home games and helping Canberra #GoGreen.”

Canberra United’s Foxtel Y-League season kicks off at 10:30am this Sunday morning (17 November) at McKellar Park against Central Coast Mariners before United’s opening Westfield W-League match against Perth Glory at 4pm.
