The second Canberra United Roadshow hit the streets of Canberra again on Thursday 17th November when players and staff visited St. Clare-s College in Griffith to hold their weekly media conference and promote Saturday-s match with the Newcastle Jets.
A large and enthusiastic crowd of St. Clare-s students joined Canberra United Head Coach Jitka Klimkova and players Grace Gill, Sally Shipard, Hayley Raso and Jennifer Bisset for the media conference with Greg Thomson and the WIN TV crew a usual hit! Indeed, Klimkova found a new army of fans when she held her weekly chat with Thomson as the pictures in our photo gallery testify!
The students were also grateful recipients of Canberra United posters and copies of the official match program from the game with Melbourne Victory last weekend as well as the prize possession of match tickets to Canberra-s top of the table clash with the Newcastle Jets at McKellar Park this Saturday.
Confidence is high in the league leaders group with the team on a four-game winning streak and five points clear at the top of the Westfield W-League but coach Klimkova is taking nothing for granted ahead of the Jets match. United hope to attract over 1,000 fans to the game which is also beings screened live on ABC TV.
