Canberra United will look to break a two-game winless streak when they welcome Perth Glory to McKellar Park this weekend.

The Glory currently sit second on the W-League table and electric forward Sam Kerr leads the league’s goalscoring charts with nine goals from nine matches so far.

United are just behind them as they chase down Sydney FC, with a win bringing Canberra level with the Glory, while a Perth win will send them top and leave Canberra six points off the pace.

Head Coach Rae Dower spoke during the week about the side’s rebound from their big loss to Sydney and despite a 2-2 draw with Adelaide, was confident that she saw some of the best football of this season.

Another top-notch performance will be needed this weekend against the in-form visitors who come in off a last-gasp, come from behind win over Melbourne Victory.

The Glory defence was suspect under pressure however, with two own goals presenting the Victory with a prime opportunity to take the points and United will need to lookt o expose any cracks that may open at the back.

With both sides sure to be pushing forward, the game will open up and it is sure to be an entertaining contest between two of the most prolific attacks in the league.
