FNYL | Youth side looking to finish season on a high

Canberra United host Sydney FC in the final round of Foxtel Y-League action this Saturday looking to finish the season on a high.

United fell to Newcastle last week despite a strong second half performance, and Head Coach Ryan Grogan will be hoping that the team can put together much more of a full-game performance this time out.

Ben Obst will face a fitness test before Saturday’s game to determine whether he can play, with knee issues troubling him since the loss to Newcastle.

Mikey Katsoulis will look to continue his strong form after he snatched a late brace against the Jets, and will be a thorn in the side of the Sydney defence.

Grogan said on Friday that ensuring the side starts strongly is paramount, rather than just turning it on during the second half. United were not soundly beaten in the loss to Sydney last time they faced, and will be motivated by the chance to derail Sydney’s push for top spot in the conference.
