Canberra United is unlikely to have ‘open trials- for the squad roster for Season 6 of the Westfield W-League due to the high interest from last year-s playing group to stay with United.
The club is delighted to have 16 players from last year-s squad, along with a new local player (who is in the Australian under 20 squad) interested in contesting a place in the 2013/14 green team.
In addition, three new foreign players have accepted offers which means the roster of 20 could be settled by late September. As such, the new coaching staff will consider offering -invitations- to a few other players to join the training group during the week of 23 September before final selections are decided.
Details on how this process will be undertaken will be released in the next few weeks.
