Three of the Canberra United squad made a community visit to Goulburn recently to help with the presentation to the STFA Academy graduates for 2010.

Co-captain Ellie Brush, defender Nicole Sykes and goalkeeper Jocelyn Mara represented Canberra United at the event taking three of the Academy groups through their paces with a series of drills to improve passing, shooting and positioning.

The STFA Academy provides eight weeks of coaching for youngsters in and around the Goulburn region for ages ten to sixteen and for both boys and girls. Coaching is provided by parents and it was apparent that all the attendees were having a great time playing the game.

At the conclusion of the coaching session the players helped present the graduation certificates and took time out to sign Canberra United posters, match programs, STFA Academy training kits and footballs! Some intrepid autograph hunters also had the players sign their certificates to make it a memorable evening for all.
