With a national team debut now under her belt, local legend Karly Roestbakken returns for her fourth season with Canberra United. In 2016, Roestbakken immediately became a fan-favourite when became the second youngest goalscorer in W-League history when she netted an 83rd-minute winner in just her second game. She has enjoyed a meteoric rise in 2019, captaining the Young Matildas in April before making her FIFA Women’s World Cup debut against Brazil in June. She returns as co-captain of her hometown team alongside good friend Nikola Orgill.
